The rules that apply to everyone who connects to the Lumin Minecraft server. Short, specific and consistently enforced.
Version 1.0Effective from September 18, 2026about 6 min read
§ 1
General provisions
These Rules set out the terms of using the “Lumin” Minecraft game server (the “Server”), operated by its operator (the “Administrator”), together with the rights and obligations of the people using the Server (the “Players”).
The Rules constitute terms of service within the meaning of Article 8 of the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on Providing Services by Electronic Means. The service consists of providing free-of-charge multiplayer gameplay in Minecraft.
Connecting to the Server means that you have read and accepted the Rules. A Player who does not accept the Rules should stop using the Server.
Minors use the Server with the knowledge and consent of their legal guardians.
The processing of Players’ personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, a separate document available on this site.
The Server is an independent project. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang AB / Microsoft Corporation. The Server is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
§ 2
Technical requirements and access
Using the Server requires a copy of Minecraft: Java Edition in a version supported by the Server (shown in the server list or the welcome message) and an Internet connection.
A Player connects to the Server with their own game account. On the Server a Player is identified by their player name (nick) and the UUID assigned to the account.
A player name may not be vulgar or offensive, may not mislead as to identity (in particular by suggesting membership of the Server staff) and may not infringe third-party rights.
A Player is responsible for every action taken with their account. Sharing the account with others is at the Player’s own risk.
The Administrator may introduce additional connection verification (for example a short task confirming that the connection comes from a human), in particular during periods of increased traffic or an ongoing attack.
§ 3
Fair play
Using any cheats or game assistance tools is prohibited, in particular: modified game clients and modifications that give an advantage over other Players (including flying, speed hacks, aim or combat automation, seeing through blocks – so-called X-Ray), auto-clickers and macros, scripts that automate gameplay, and resource packs that reveal hidden parts of the world.
Exploiting bugs of the game or the Server (exploits), including item duplication, and concealing such bugs is prohibited. Discovered bugs should be reported to the Administrator.
Purely performance-related or cosmetic modifications that give no advantage over other Players are allowed.
Evading penalties is prohibited, in particular by using alternative accounts or changing your IP address.
Impersonating the Server staff and extracting login details or items from other Players is prohibited.
§ 4
Infrastructure protection
Any action aimed at the Server’s infrastructure or its stability is prohibited, in particular:
carrying out DoS/DDoS attacks, taking part in such attacks or commissioning them;
generating artificial traffic with bots, mass or automated connection attempts and flooding the Server with packets;
scanning, security testing or searching for vulnerabilities without the Administrator’s written consent;
bypassing or attempting to bypass the filtering shield, connection verification or other protective mechanisms;
deliberately overloading the Server, including building structures or mechanisms whose sole purpose is to degrade performance;
attacking other Players’ connections or obtaining their IP addresses.
The actions described in paragraph 1 may constitute a criminal offence, in particular under Article 269a of the Polish Criminal Code. The Administrator reserves the right to preserve data relating to such an incident and to hand it over to the competent authorities.
Traffic to the Server passes through a filtering shield that automatically rejects connections identified as harmful. A Player whose legitimate connection was rejected by mistake may report it to the contact address given in § 9.
§ 5
Conduct and content
Players treat each other with respect. Harassment, threats, insults, discrimination, vulgar, pornographic or hateful content, and publishing other people’s personal data are prohibited.
Spamming and advertising other servers, services or websites without the Administrator’s consent is prohibited.
Providing unlawful content, including content that infringes third-party copyright, is prohibited.
The Administrator may remove content that violates the Rules without prior notice.
§ 6
Server availability
The Server is provided free of charge, “as is”. The Administrator makes every effort to keep the Server stable but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or any specific uptime level (100% uptime).
The Administrator may at any time temporarily shut the Server down, in particular for maintenance, updates or in response to an attack, and may change gameplay rules, reset the world or permanently discontinue the Server.
To the extent permitted by law, the Administrator is not liable for the loss of game progress, items or other gameplay data resulting from failures, attacks, game bugs, maintenance or the decisions referred to in paragraph 2.
In-game items, currencies and ranks are elements of gameplay. They are not the Player’s property and have no monetary value.
§ 7
Penalties and appeals
If the Rules are violated, the Administrator may, at their discretion and in proportion to the severity of the violation, impose on the Player: a warning, a chat mute, a kick from the Server, a temporary ban, a permanent ban or an IP ban.
Actions described in § 3 and § 4 are, as a rule, punished with a permanent ban without prior warning.
The Administrator may also refuse access to the Server to a person against whom no violation has been established, where this is necessary to protect the Server or other Players (for example during an ongoing attack from a given network).
A Player may appeal a penalty or file a complaint by e-mailing contact@lumin.edu.pl. The message should include the player name and a description of the situation. The Administrator replies within 14 days of receiving it.
The Administrator’s decision after reviewing an appeal is final within the Server. This does not limit the Player’s rights under mandatory provisions of law.
§ 8
Changes to the Rules
The Administrator may amend the Rules, in particular when the law, the gameplay rules or the way the Server operates change.
Changes are announced on this page together with their effective date. Using the Server after that date means accepting the amended Rules.
A Player who does not accept the changes may stop using the Server at any time and request deletion of their data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
§ 9
Final provisions
The agreement to use the Server is concluded when you connect and may be terminated by the Player at any time by ceasing to use the Server. The Administrator may terminate the agreement by imposing a permanent ban.
Matters not covered by the Rules are governed by Polish law, in particular the Civil Code and the Act on Providing Services by Electronic Means.
If any provision of the Rules proves invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force.
